Rebecca Grace, also known
as Rebecca or Becky Martinez, is an award-winning former
broadcast journalist who writes mystery, romance and romantic suspense fiction and non-fiction
books on writing.
Her latest work is Shadows from the Past, a gothic suspense novella set on an island in the Pacific Northwest. It will soon be available from The Wild Rose Press.
Her last novel, Deadly
Messages, was a romantic suspense, also published
by The
Wild Rose Press. It received 4 stars from Romantic Times Book
Club, whose reviewer called it a "must read." It was
also a "top pick" at Night Owl Reviews where it was
awarded 4 1/2 stars.
Her first novel, Love On
Deck, was a finalist for the 2005 Aspen Gold Award, given
by the Heart of Denver Romance Writers. It received 4 Stars from
Romantic Times Magazine. Her romance novel Home Fires Burning received 5 Coffee Cups from Coffee Time Romance and 4 stars from Ecataromance.
Two of her short stories have
appeared in anthologies written by a group of 40+-year old writers
known as the Grande Dames. One of the Anthologies, The
Trouble with Romance was a 2007 New Mexico Book Award finalist
in the anthology category.
Her short story, "The
Problem," was released in July 2008 from The Wild Rose Press and received an excellent review from "The Long and the Short of It" reviews.
Her first non-fiction book,
10 Steps to Creating Memorable Characters, written with
Sue Viders, Cher Gorman and Lucynda Storey was published in Watson-Guptill Publishing (now owned by Random House) and is now available in ebook, Kindle and Nook formats.
Rebecca currently lives in
Littleton, Colorado where she is working on new romantic suspense
and mystery novels and teaching writing classes.
